Beautiful weather a few days ago
 

I figured I'd share, I thought I should take a picture with how nice it was a week or two ago.

Anyway, does anyone here mess with hydroponics? Also, if I wanted to run household appliances during a power outage, could I use car batteries or deep cycle batteries, and would I need an inverter or special equipment?
